Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in Louisiana's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
Louisiana uses the Louisiana Student Standards (LSS) for ELA and Math, developed from Common Core with state-specific revisions made in 2016. Science follows Louisiana Student Standards for Science, aligned with NGSS three-dimensional learning.
Social Studies standards emphasize Louisiana and U.S. history, civics, geography, and economics. The state assesses students through LEAP 2025 in Grades 3–12, and EOC exams count toward graduation.
ELA & Math: Grades 3–8 (LEAP 2025).
Science: Grades 3–8 (LEAP 2025 Science).
Social Studies: Grades 3–8 (LEAP 2025 Social Studies).
LEAP 2025 EOC: Required in English I/II, Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, U.S. History, and Civics for graduation.

I use Albert in multiple ways: I test, I review, I target skills for individual students, and I create independent practice. It lets me target standards quickly and determine areas that need refinement or reinforcement. Whole-class, individual, over-time, specific activity, question, or standard, it's all easy to analyze because I set up the assignment with that in mind, and Albert does the rest.
I use Albert in my US History class for progress monitoring, practice questions, and exams. Albert has made analyzing student data much easier, and my students appreciate the instant feedback that helps them learn from mistakes as they go.
I love the rigor of the assignments and the variety of ACT® and WorkKeys activities. My students' scores have gone up, they walk into the test with real confidence, and I can target the specific skills each student needs.
Albert is currently being used in my math classroom as a tool to reinforce what we're learning through practice and review. Topics align with our lessons, and Albert provides instant feedback which helps students understand their mistakes and learn from them.
Albert assessments are rigorous and get kids thinking! I love that I can give them instant feedback on the questions they're assigned, and even when they still have questions about the feedback, that's a good thing, because the feedback gets them talking and thinking. Creating assignments is quick and easy, and I can get instant data to track student progress.
Albert gives us practice tests that are LEAP-aligned when we don't have many other materials. I track my students' data in Albert and monitor their growth, and they use it for practice too. It's given me a way to anticipate where my students will score on the LEAP and lets me monitor their growth test by test.
Since testing is key to school improvement, Albert is one of the best tools to assist students in preparing for those tests. The question variety and alignment to our standards makes it a daily staple in my classroom.
