Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in Delaware's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
Delaware uses the Delaware Standards for ELA and Math (DELEXCELS), which are CCSS-based. Science follows the NGSS, and Social Studies follows the Delaware Social Studies Standards.
Delaware assesses students through the Delaware System of Student Assessments (DeSSA): Smarter Balanced (SBAC) in ELA and Math for Grades 3-8, DeSSA Science in Grades 5, 8, and 10, and SAT® for all 11th graders (state-funded).

Standards-aligned practice mirroring DeSSA rigor:
ELA & Math: Grades 3-8 (Smarter Balanced, SBAC via DeSSA).
Science: Grades 5, 8, and 10 (DeSSA Science).
SAT®: State-funded for all 11th graders.
PSAT®: State-funded for 10th graders.
AP® & IB: Widely available.

Delaware requires 24 credits for graduation, including 4 ELA, 4 Math (through Algebra II), 3 Science, 3 Social Studies, 1 PE, 0.5 Health, 1 World Language (or CTE pathway), and 3.5 Electives. Students must complete a CTE pathway or accumulate credits toward one. The SAT® is state-funded for all 11th graders.

Rigorous practice across grades and subjects, fewer students fall behind.
Elective credits, Civics, Financial Literacy, Health, and more.
SAT® preparation, state-funded for all Delaware 11th graders.

As a new APUSH teacher I was unsure about my ability to prepare my students for the specifics of the AP® exam. I found Albert and decided to pilot the program at my school. My students answered over 51,000 questions in preparation for the exam. My pass rate went from 44.7% to 64.2%, and I had 12 students earn 5s. My students scored above state and local averages in every single multiple-choice category. Albert may not be the only tool that led to our success, but it was definitely a game-changer.
I love using Albert.io to prepare my AP® Spanish Language and AP® Spanish Literature students for their respective exams. It has been a huge time saver, allowing me to spend more time preparing my lessons rather than creating assessments.
Albert is being used in my math classroom as a tool to reinforce what we're learning through practice and review. The questions are rigorous and closely aligned to what students need to know for state tests and beyond.
From 9th grade Honors ELA students to 12th grade AP® Lit students, I have found something relevant and rigorous for all of my students. Albert consistently delivers quality content that meets students where they are.
I love using Albert in my classroom for a quick review of Chemistry topics and Science ACT® prep. The questions are specific, the explanations thorough, and students are engaged.
The program is very user-friendly and the data it provides plays a major role in supporting the learning process. Albert helps me identify where students need the most support.

Students who independently prepared with Albert’s AP® Question Banks consistently outperformed national AP® averages in 2024 and 2025, driven by sustained, high-volume practice.
