Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in Colorado's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
Colorado uses the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) for all core subjects. ELA and Math are CCSS-aligned with Colorado-specific revisions, while Science follows an NGSS-based framework.
Colorado assesses students through CMAS in Grades 3–8, CMAS in Social Studies, and PSAT® 10 plus SAT® for high school. The SAT® is state-funded for all 11th graders.

ELA & Math: Grades 3-8 (Colorado Measures of Academic Success, CMAS).
Science: Grades 5 and 8 (CMAS Science).
Social Studies: Grades 4 and 7 (CMAS Social Studies, sample-based).
SAT®: State-funded for all 11th graders.
PSAT® 10: Required for all 10th graders.
PSAT® 8/9: Required for all 9th graders.
AP® & IB: Widely available.

Colorado requires students to demonstrate competency in English and Math through menu-based graduation guidelines (district-determined). Common menu options include SAT®/ACT® scores, AP® exam scores, and concurrent enrollment. There is no exit exam.

Rigorous practice across grades and subjects, fewer students fall behind.
Elective credits: Civics, Financial Literacy, Health, and more.

I love the deep question banks. Albert offers a variety of leveled questions for students to practice. With the way I set up the assignment settings, students get immediate feedback, so it really acts as a teaching tool; they don't have to wonder why they got answers incorrect. The easy-to-read student data also helps me recognize areas that may need to be revisited.
Albert is still the best resource for AP practice. AP Classroom works for practice assessments, but Albert is by far the best.
It's incredibly versatile and user-friendly for both teachers and students alike. I find it especially fantastic for substitute lessons because it allows students to keep learning independently without missing a beat.
My students found Albert especially helpful in preparing for their exams. They love the immediate feedback they get!
Albert greatly facilitates remediating gaps in student knowledge while also providing material to build rigor. A wealth of class data allows teachers to plan and spiral content in a more intentional manner.

Students who independently prepared with Albert’s AP® Question Banks consistently outperformed national AP® averages in 2024 and 2025, driven by sustained, high-volume practice.
