Over the years, our Content team has developed a deep expertise in Arizona's academic standards, graduation requirements, and assessments. We've summarized the considerations that have guided our product development below.
Arizona uses the Arizona K–12 Academic Standards for ELA and Math, replacing the earlier Common Core adoption with state-specific revisions in 2016. Science follows the Arizona Science Standards, which incorporate NGSS with state modifications. Additionally, English Language Learners (ELLs) are supported through the Arizona English Language Proficiency (ELP) Standards, which are measured annually via the AZELLA to track progress toward language reclassification.
Students are assessed through AASA in Grades 3–8, AzSCI in Science, and the ACT® is required for all 11th graders (state-funded). The Arizona Civics Test is required for graduation (requiring a passing score of 70 for the Class of 2026).

ELA & Math: Grades 3–8 (Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment, AASA).
Science: Grades 5, 8, and 11 (AzSCI).
AZELLA: Annual English proficiency assessment for ELL students.
ACT®: Required for all 11th graders (state-funded).
AzSCI: Grade 11 Science.
SAT®, AP®, & IB: Widely available.
AZELLA: High school proficiency assessment used for ELL placement and reclassification.
Arizona requires 22 credits for graduation, including 4 ELA, 4 Math (including Algebra II or equivalent and a 4th year of math), 3 Science, 3 Social Studies (including U.S. History, World History, Government, and Economics), and 1 Fine Arts or CTE. Students must pass the Arizona Civics Test with a score of 70% or higher.

Rigorous practice across grades and subjects, fewer students fall behind.

It's a great platform for our students to learn the higher level mathematical skills. The material for ACT® test prep is excellent. Student benefit: they come into the test with real confidence. Data impact: I can see exactly where each student needs more support.
I use Albert for my AP Lit & Comp classes to prepare my students for their exam, and I've also used it with my sophomore English class to create formative and summative assessments. I absolutely love it. It's also helped me analyze how students are meeting standards and skills — especially when assigning summative assessments.
Albert is a fantastic supplemental resource. It primarily helps my students prepare for the AP French Language and Culture exam, but we use it more broadly for students to practice and reinforce skills across levels. It targets question types to provide better exam support and helps hone lower-level skills, while other classes use Albert to extend and practice topics as they're learned.
Tremendous resource. My students appreciated using it throughout the year — it's harder than College Board questions, which made the AP Exam MC questions feel a bit easier. So many great resources: not just AP test prep, but ACT, SAT, and resources for many of the titles we teach. It's a great tool and good for students.
The answers to Albert questions are hard to find on the internet, which forces students to use their thinking skills.
In the words of one of my students after taking an AP Exam: 'Albert is much harder than the AP questions, so when I took the exam I felt like the questions were much easier.' I love what you do. Albert provides my students with great opportunities to learn — I don't use it simply for assessment; I use it as a learning tool. My students know they can look things up to help answer questions, which allows them to collaborate and learn how their peers think. It was invaluable during remote learning.

Students who independently prepared with Albert’s AP® Question Banks consistently outperformed national AP® averages in 2024 and 2025, driven by sustained, high-volume practice.
